Richard Doran
Richard is an Auckland Based, Portrait and Commercial Photographer with a strong focus on people and creating honest images that champion the human spirit.
Sought after for his expertise in portraiture and movement, Richard draws on his vast knowledge of lighting, depth and composition. Perhaps more importantly is his ability to form genuine connections with his subjects. Richard’s compassionate approach to his photographic practice elicits undeniable authenticity from his subjects.
Richard has assisted some of his favourite photographers abroad and at home in New Zealand. He has produced bodies of work for clients such as Netflix, Redbull, Selfridges and Westpac. Richard currently lives in Auckland City where he shoots from his photography studio in the heart of the CBD.

Richard works locally and abroad for local brands, and also runs limited studio sessions for the public.
